Sandra
Valenzuela is an attorney practicing exclusively in the area of immigration law. Prior to establishing her own firm, Ms. Valenzuela
was an attorney at Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, PC where she concentrated her practice in the area of immigration. Ms.
Valenzuela attended DePaul College of Law, graduating in 1996. In 1985, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with
a Major in Accounting from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. Ms. Valenzuela co-authored “The Contract with
America Hits Home” with Margaret McCormick, an article about the new immigration laws and welfare reform that was published
in the Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s Public Interest Law Reporter. Prior to completing her law degree, she
worked for over eleven years in the Information Technology field as a Programmer/Analyst. Ms. Valenzuela is an active member
of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Valenzuela has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the
Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI) for the past three years. Ms. Valenzuela was awarded the 2005 Distinguished
Service Award from the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation and the 2006 President's Award from the Hispanic Lawyers
Association of Illinois. She is a Wish Granter for the Make a Wish Foundation and is bilingual in Spanish.
